However, the relevant company has told the Sunday Times newspaper that this is not their product.
The company has said that this medicine has also been imported fraudulently, just as the medicine called human immunoglobulin has been imported using their company’s name.
The Medicines Regulatory Authority says that 2025 vials of Rituximab, which have been imported into the country with false information, have been withdrawn from use immediately.
Another drug has been fraudulently brought to the country with forged signatures, and the National Drug Regulatory Authority has not yet released the information related to that drug to the media.
No one knows how much of that medicine has been used.
Meanwhile, the Magistrate of Maligakanda has ordered to arrest all the suspects involved in fraudulently bringing medicines to the country with forged signatures, submitting fake documents and bring them to court, but it is said that no one has been arrested so far.
