Kokalimuthu (53), who was in charge of the sluice of Mullikanda Lake, and a 46-year-old Jesudasan, who was a paddy land owner, have died.

It has been revealed during police investigations that these two were fired to death with a pistol.

The police say that the location of this sluice is deserted and there are no houses around it.

A woman who saw these dead bodies informed the police that there was an accident at the edge of this lake.

Accordingly, the Adappan Police has started a comprehensive investigation on this matter. The man who went to open the sluice of the Mullikanda lake is a very popular figure among the farmers of that province.
