The police mentioned that yesterday (15) at around 7.00 pm, the shooting took place when she was outside in the garden.
The deceased is a 36-year-old mother of three, and her body has been deposited at Medirigiri Hospital.
The police suspect that a dispute between the concerned woman and her estranged husband may have been the cause of the murder.
