President Ranil Wickramasinghe has decided to establish a special police unit to investigate and act on groups that interfere with religious harmony.
It is reported that after receiving intelligence information about the related incidents, the President has given instructions to the Chief of Presidential Staff, Senior Advisor on National Security Mr. Sagala Ratnayake.
Also, President Ranil Wickramasinghe has given instructions to work with the Inspector General of Police and take prompt action in this regard.
