Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne says that he will step down from Test captaincy after the upcoming Sri Lanka-Ireland Test series.
He said this while making a statement to the media after the second Test between Sri Lanka and New Zealand that ended in Wellington.
It is also reported that he has officially informed the Sri Lanka Cricket authorities about it.
The New Zealand team managed to win the test series between the two countries by 2 to 0.
The Irish Test cricket team will visit Sri Lanka next month to play two Test matches.
