The Colombo High Court has ordered that the case filed by the Bribery Commission against Fowzie be called for a preliminary hearing on June 27.
Member of Parliament A.H.M. Fowzie, who has received bribery charges. This case was called before Colombo High Court Judge Mr. Navaratne Marasinghe today (15).
The Bribery Commission had filed this case alleging that during the period from 2005 to 2010, he caused a loss of nearly ten lakh rupees to the government by using a vehicle donated to the Disaster Management Centre from abroad for his personal use while working as the Disaster Management Minister.
