Yesterday morning, while the opposition leader was on his way to participate in the rally held in Dehiattakandiya area, Ampara engaged in a friendly discussion with the children and teachers of the school near New Medagama Maha Vidyalaya, Dehiattakandiya, Medagama.
This school, which is a renowned school in the area, is also a school that excels in extra-curricular activities. It was revealed to the leader of the opposition that when he has to participate in various field trips, he spends a lot of effort to procure the necessary money, and last year’s transportation cost alone was more than nineteen lakhs.
The leader of the opposition also assured that a bus would be donated to the school.
