As a result, following the announcement of the election by the Election Commission, the government planned to postpone the local government election for two reasons.
The first is the postponement of the election due to the start of the A-level examinations on January 28. The government there has planned to postpone the election, citing the possibility that carrying out election campaign activities during this period would cause inconvenience to the children taking the high level examination.
The government’s second strategy is that after the election is announced, the Commission will send a request letter to the Treasury for the necessary financial allocations to hold it, and then take advantage of the opportunity to postpone the election by claiming that no such financial allocation is available.
It has also been learned that the government has decided to announce that if financial allocations are made for the election, it will not be possible to pay salaries to public servants, and pensioners will not be able to pay pensions.
