Abdullah Shafique’s ton leads the run chase

Pakistan won by four wickets after a successful run chase at Galle International Cricket Stadium around 2.45 p.m. Sri Lanka time.

Pakistan were only two wickets down this morning, and Sri Lanka fought back valiantly, but could only capture four wickets before Pakistan won.

The Scores Sri Lanka 222 & 337 Pakistan 214 &B 344 for 6. Abdulla Shafique 150+ laid the foundation. Incidentally this is his second test hundred.

second test venue changed

The second test, which was scheduled to begin on Sunday, was moved from Colombo to Galle because Sri Lanka Cricket decided not to risk potential political protests in the capital.

The venue change was announced on Monday, shortly after Ranil Wickremesinghe declared a state of emergency. Last week, he took over as acting president after Gotabaya Rajapaksa fled abroad and resigned following months of mass protests over the country’s economic collapse.

Due to the economic crisis, SLC was forced to postpone the Lanka Premier League, which was scheduled for next month. Officials also admitted that the Asia Cup, which was scheduled to be held in late August, is in jeopardy due to the crisis.
