The statue of DA Rajapaksa, father of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, which was demolished by some group on May 9th, has been restored.
Accordingly, the statue was re-established in Tangalle town today (03).
Commenting on this matter, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Member of Parliament Mr. Namal Rajapaksa stated,
“An organized group came to overturn this statue that day. We strongly believe that they should be punished before the law.”
