Addressing Growing Transport Costs, Asia Asset Finance PLC Offers Free PickMe Rides for Fixed Deposit Customers Across Sri Lanka
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Asia Asset Finance PLC is offering free PickMe rides for Fixed Deposit customers from their home to the nearest Asia Asset Finance branch and back home again, available across the country. Customers can select whichever vehicle type they prefer through the PickMe platform, subject to availability, making the Fixed Deposit journey more convenient, comfortable and customer-friendly. Terms and conditions apply.

With escalating fuel prices, rising transport costs, heavy traffic congestion and limited parking facilities in many towns, visiting a branch can often become an additional challenge for customers. Recognising this practical issue, Asia Asset Finance PLC is introducing a more efficient and effective transport solution in partnership with PickMe, one of Sri Lanka’s most recognised digital transportation platforms.

In today’s financial services industry, customer convenience has become a key measure of trust, relevance and service leadership. Customers no longer choose a financial partner only based on interest rates. They also value accessibility, safety, time, comfort and the overall experience of dealing with a trusted institution. This initiative directly responds to those expectations by removing a real barrier from the customer journey.

For many customers, especially in urban and semi-urban areas, visiting a branch involves transport planning, fuel expenses, traffic delays, parking difficulties and time away from work or family responsibilities. Sri Lanka has also seen how mobility can affect daily life. During the fuel crisis, long queues, QR-based fuel allocation, limited travel options and uncertainty around transport showed how important easy access to essential services can be.

Through this initiative, a Fixed Deposit customer can book a PickMe ride, travel from home to the nearest Asia Asset Finance branch, complete the required documentation, open the Fixed Deposit and return home conveniently. By allowing customers to select their preferred vehicle type, Asia Asset Finance PLC is creating a flexible and personalised experience that respects different customer needs and comfort levels.

This initiative also reflects an important thought leadership position. Financial inclusion is not only about offering attractive products, competitive rates or expanding branch networks. It is also about removing practical barriers that prevent customers from making important financial decisions. True customer-centricity begins before the customer enters the branch and continues even after the transaction is completed.

PickMe has become one of Sri Lanka’s most familiar technology-driven mobility platforms, offering app-based transport solutions across multiple vehicle categories. Its strong digital platform, customer acceptance and established presence in the local transport ecosystem make it a meaningful partner for an initiative focused on convenience and accessibility.

Backed by over 55 years of legacy, an islandwide network of 100+ branches, and an asset base of over Rs. 50 billion, a Fitch A+(lka) rating, and the global strength of Muthoot Finance, Asia Asset Finance PLC continues to strengthen its position as one of Sri Lanka’s most trusted, stable and customer-focused financial institutions.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Roshan Gunasekara, Chief Operating Officer of Asia Asset Finance PLC, stated, “At Asia Asset Finance, we believe customer convenience must be viewed as part of the financial solution itself. Through this free PickMe ride initiative, we are extending our service beyond the branch by supporting customers from their doorstep to the branch and back home again.”

Through trusted Fixed Deposit solutions, islandwide reach, digital enablement and customer-first service enhancements, Asia Asset Finance PLC continues to deliver on its brand promise of Empowering People and Transforming Lives.
