Nations Trust Bank will host the latest edition of the Nations Trust Golf Championship 2026 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC), as part of its ongoing partnership with the Club. In this year’s tournament, Nations Trust Bank will introduce three shotgun starts for the first time. The annual event continues to serve as a platform to bring together customers, partners, and golf enthusiasts in a shared sporting experience beyond banking.

The championship will take place on 22nd and 23rd May 2026 and is expected to attract over 345 players across three shotguns. Participants will include customers from Private Banking, American Express Cardmembers, Corporate Banking, and Commercial Banking segments, along with invited golf enthusiasts.

Trophies and prizes will be awarded across multiple categories, including Men’s and Ladies’ Winners and Runners-Up, as well as Masters and Seniors divisions. Special recognitions will be presented for standout performances, including the Longest Drive at the 8th Hole, the Closest to the Pin at the 13th Hole, and the Overall Winner of the tournament. In addition, a Hole-in-One prize of a Hublot Big Bang Unico Titanium 42mm watch valued at LKR 8 million will be on offer, while the Overall Winner will receive an all-expenses-paid tour to the Maldives, including accommodation at a premier golf resort.

Nations Trust Bank Chief Marketing Officer, Sanjaya Senarath stated, “The Nations Trust Golf Championship continues to be an important part of our calendar, providing an opportunity to connect with our customers in a more relaxed and engaging setting. It also allows us to create enjoyable experiences while bringing together golf enthusiasts who share a passion for the sport.”

RCGC Captain Mahela Jayawardene stated, “This championship provides an opportunity to welcome a diverse group of players to the course, united by their passion for golf. We are pleased to continue our partnership with Nations Trust Bank in hosting this tournament, and we look forward to another successful edition that celebrates both the sport and the camaraderie it builds.”

The tournament forms part of the Bank’s broader collaboration with the Royal Colombo Golf Club, with the championship set to continue annually through 2028. This reflects the Bank’s ongoing focus on supporting sporting culture while creating experiences that bring communities together.
