SCAD Strengthens Sri Lanka–Japan Cooperation Through HRD and Education
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

SCAD Inc., a legally established, Japan-based human resource and education consulting company, is actively working to strengthen long-term cooperation between Sri Lanka and Japan through employment support, education, and human resource development initiatives for Sri Lankans seeking employment and educational opportunities in Japan.

SCAD operates under official licenses issued by the Government of Japan, including Paid Employment Placement and Registered Support Organization status. Through these authorizations, the company provides comprehensive and lawful support to Sri Lankan nationals seeking employment and career development opportunities in Japan.

Under its Paid Employment Placement services, SCAD assists Sri Lankan job seekers by providing job matching and employment opportunities in Japan, career consulting and job change support, and long-term career planning for stable employment through its Employment Support and Career Development activities.

In addition, as a Registered Support Organization, SCAD provides essential support services to foreign nationals currently living and working in Japan, including daily life and settlement support, housing and real estate assistance, language support and interpretation services, and full assistance for the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa program. These services aim to ensure that Sri Lankan workers can live and work in Japan safely, legally, and with long-term stability.

Furthermore, SCAD has announced plans to launch an innovative Metaverse-based Japanese Language School in April 2026, free of charge for those seeking proficiency in the Japanese language. This project will offer free Japanese language education up to the JLPT N2 level, with nationwide accessibility for students across Sri Lanka, leading to legal, structured pathways after language training for student visas, Specified Skilled Worker visas, and Engineer/Humanities/International Services visas (技・人・国). This initiative is designed to remove financial barriers and create equal access to education and overseas employment opportunities for Sri Lankan youth.

“At SCAD, we are essentially building a bridge between Sri Lanka and Japan. Japan is currently facing significant labor shortages due to its declining birth rate and aging population. SCAD seeks to address this challenge by introducing disciplined, skilled, and motivated Sri Lankan human resources to the Japanese workforce,” said Sajith Ekanayake, CEO of SCAD Consulting, Japan.

“At the same time, SCAD emphasizes a sustainable, win-win model in which Sri Lankans gain valuable skills and experience in Japan that can later contribute to Sri Lanka’s economic and social development,” he added.

Working toward stronger bilateral cooperation, SCAD has expressed its intention to further collaborate with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan and other relevant institutions to promote transparent, ethical, and sustainable labor mobility between the two countries. Through its activities, SCAD aims to serve as a bridge connecting Sri Lanka and Japan, fostering mutual growth, trust, and long-term partnership.
