The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has entered into a strategic partnership with Indra Traders (Pvt) Ltd. to promote the latter’s vehicle portfolio through attractive leasing facilities.

This collaboration was formally announced at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the launch of a joint promotional campaign between the two organisations.

Under this agreement, customers will enjoy a range of special benefits when leasing unregistered and pre-owned vehicles from Indra Traders through Commercial Bank. The Bank will offer competitive interest rates and tailor-made leasing packages that allow customers to structure their repayments in line with their income patterns. In addition, a 50% waiver will be granted on documentation charges for lease facilities. Leasing services will be accessible through Commercial Bank’s extensive island-wide branch network, with dedicated promotions also set to take place at all Indra Traders outlets during the campaign period.

Indra Traders will complement these benefits by offering customers a two-year warranty for the engine and gearbox, and a three-year warranty for the hybrid battery on unregistered vehicles. Buyers will also be entitled to a 10% discount on spare parts from Indra Motor Spares, as well as a 10% discount on labour charges from Indra Service Park during the first year.

The promotion will run from 6th June to 31st December 2025 and will apply to the full range of vehicles available from Indra Traders.

As a pioneer in flexible leasing solutions, Commercial Bank is committed to making vehicle ownership more accessible to both existing and new customers, the Bank said. This partnership combines financial convenience with the assurance of trusted after-sales service, delivering real value to buyers at a time when affordability and service quality are paramount.

Indra Traders is a trusted brand in Sri Lanka’s motor industry with decades of experience in supplying high-quality vehicles and services. Its island-wide presence and robust after-sales support make it a preferred choice among vehicle buyers.

Commercial Bank is the first Sri Lankan bank to be listed among the Top 1000 Banks of the World and has the highest market capitalisation in the Banking Sector in the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE). The Bank is the largest private sector lender, the largest lender to the SME sector, is a leader in digital innovation and is Sri Lanka’s first 100% carbon-neutral bank.

Commercial Bank operates a strategically located network of branches and automated machines island-wide, and has the widest international footprint among Sri Lankan banks, with 20 outlets in Bangladesh, a fully-fledged Tier I Bank with a majority stake in the Maldives, and a Microfinance company in Myanmar. The Bank recently received approval from Dubai Financial Services Authority to establish a representative office within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and is the first Bank in Sri Lanka to achieve this milestone, making a significant step towards broadening its global footprint. The Bank’s fully-owned subsidiary CBC Finance Ltd., also delivers a range of financial services via its own branch network.
