Parliamentary authorities allocate 43 seats to the opposition after Malima government’s representation drops to 116 seats.

The opposition has been allocated seats for 43 members previously belonging to the Malima government.

This decision was made because the Malima government failed to fill all its allocated seats in parliament.

While the ruling party initially held 159 seats, its current representation has dwindled to just 116 seats.

As a result, parliamentary authorities have resolved to assign the remaining 43 seats to members of the opposition.
