SJB Organizers Advise Sajith Premadasa to Ignore Ruwan Wijewardene’s Claims About Wickremesinghe’s Future
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) seat organizers have advised Mr. Sajith Premadasa not to be misled by statements made by Ruwan Wijewardene, the son-in-law of President Ranil Wickremesinghe. Wijewardene had claimed that Mr. Wickremesinghe would not contest future parliamentary elections or seek a seat through the national list.

This advice was conveyed during a meeting held today between SJB seat organizers and Mr. Premadasa.

The organizers further emphasized that Wijewardene’s statements are likely an attempt to deflect criticism and ease pressure from members of the United National Party (UNP) and the broader public. They urged Mr. Premadasa not to engage in any discussions with the UNP until Mr. Wickremesinghe steps down from the party leadership.
