Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s Galle District MP, Mrs. Geetha Kumarasinghe, has made a significant political shift by announcing her support for opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
Mrs. Kumarasinghe, a former popular actress, is currently serving as the Minister of State for Women and Child Affairs. Known for her continuous advocacy for women’s and children’s rights, she plays an active role in several parliamentary committees related to these issues.
She made her announcement of support during a Samagi Jana Balavegaya victory rally held today (9) in Kandy, signaling a major development in the political landscape.
