It has been revealed that Palitha Range Bandara, Secretary General of the United National Party (UNP), is preparing to issue a highly controversial statement in the coming days.
Despite currently serving as the UNP’s Secretary General, there have been reports in some media outlets suggesting that party leaders have initiated steps to remove him from this role.
In addition, it has come to light that Mr. Range Bandara’s daughter, who had been employed at a foreign embassy, has been recalled to Sri Lanka by the authorities.
In this context, it is expected that Mr. Range Bandara’s forthcoming statement will have significant nationwide repercussions.
