Top-performing life insurance sales professionals on target to achieve or surpass their sales goals in 2024 were feted at a stimulating mid-year awards event recently by Ceylinco Life, Sri Lanka’s life insurance market leader.
Appropriately themed ‘Path to Greatness,’ the event at Shangri La Hambantota, saw 230 Ceylinco Life sales officers receiving awards and an overnight stay at the upmarket resort hotel, in recognition of their sales achievements in the first half of the year, and as a motivation to build on that momentum in the rest of the year.
Ceylinco Life Chairman Mr R. Renganathan was the Chief Guest at the event attended by directors and members of the senior management of the Company.
Earlier this year, Ceylinco Life celebrated two decades on unbroken market leadership in Sri Lanka at the Company’s annual awards event at Waters Edge, at which 523 top performers were rewarded with 580 awards, which included three company-maintained cars, 82 overseas tours and a host of other prizes and trophies.
Equipping and motivating employees to excel and recognising and rewarding their achievements are a key element of Ceylinco Life’s 20 years of market leadership, the Company said.
Top award-winners at the mid-year awards ceremony of Ceylinco Life included the Best Branch Head Mr K. Pakirathan of the Nelliady 4 branch; the Best Unit Head Mrs S. Ragini of the Jaffna 6 branch; the joint winners of the Best Life Insurance Advisor award Messrs A. I. P. Manjula of the Ambalantota 2 branch and J. M. D. Deep Ranjan of the Maradana 3 branch; and the Best Regional Sales Manager Mr P. Suman of the Jaffna District.
Adjudged Sri Lanka’s Brand of the Year for the second successive year in 2023, Ceylinco Life was also named one of the 10 Most Admired Companies in Sri Lanka in 2023 by the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and was ranked the ‘Most Valuable Insurance Brand in Sri Lanka’ across both life and general insurance categories in 2023 by Brand Finance.
