Dayasiri Arrives at Party Headquarters on Dali Road with Large Crowd to Resume his Role as Secretary General; Police Boost Security

The police have stepped up security near the Sri Lanka Freedom Party headquarters on Daly Road in Colombo. Sri Lanka Latest News

Its General Secretary Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara had requested the Sri Lanka Freedom Party members to come to his party headquarters this morning (05).

According to sources, this decision was taken on the assumption that there would be a disturbance in the place.

Member of Parliament Dayasiri Jayasekara says that he will resume his duties as the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party this morning (05).

Member of Parliament Dayasiri Jayasekara says that he is still working as the legitimate general secretary of the party.

Accordingly, the MP further mentioned that everyone is invited to join the occasion of resuming the work of the office.

Also, the Senior Vice President of that party, Mr. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, said that he accepts Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara as the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

He further stated that a candidate of Sri Lanka Freedom Party will be nominated for the upcoming presidential election.
