At the recently-concluded Asia Pacific Property and Hotel Awards 2024 held in Thailand, Capital Trust Properties, a subsidiary of Capital TRUST Holdings Limited, was honoured in the ‘Property Agency /Consultancy Sri Lanka’ category with an outstanding 5-star rating.

The coveted awards ceremony is the regional program of the International Property Awards, established in 1993, the largest awards program celebrating the highest levels of achievement in the property and real estate sector. Minoli Wickramasinghe, Managing Director of Capital TRUST Properties, received the award from International Property Awards President Stuart Shield.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of over 100 industry experts, focusing on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.

The 2024 Asia Pacific award winners were announced in Thailand on 30th and 31st May. Capital TRUST Properties achieving a 5-star rating highlights the company’s commitment to quality and excellence on a global stage and showcases the company’s commitment to professionalism, ethics and quality of service to its stakeholders.

Capital TRUST Properties, scoring 5 stars, has also been nominated as one of the best in the Asia Pacific region with the likes of world renown real estate companies such as Colliers being the other winner.

Commenting on the company’s success, Capital TRUST Properties’ Managing Director Minoli Wickramasinghe said, “Receiving this prestigious 5-star rating at the Asia Pacific Property and Hotel Awards 2024 is a major milestone not only for Capital TRUST Properties, but also for the entire property and real estate industry in Sri Lanka. In an industry that lacks regulation, we have steadfastly committed to ethical and professional practices in offering services to all our stakeholders. Our team’s dedication and resilience, particularly in challenging macroeconomic conditions, has been pivotal in achieving this honour. We are immensely proud of this recognition and will continue to uphold the highest standards of quality and excellence in all our endeavours.”

This award is a world-renowned mark of excellence for Capital TRUST Properties as an independent property transaction and advisory company, working to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct alongside other foreign companies of international repute.

The company is known to be transparent with no conflict of interests and hence works well with respected property developers such as John Keells Properties, Twin Peaks, Shangri La etc.

Minoli further said, “Sri Lankan agents do not adhere to international standards, where for example, a developer cannot also be a Real Estate agent at the same time, as that is a conflict of interest. Hence, our subsidiaries run absolutely independent of each other following strict international norms.”

Capital TRUST Properties adheres to strict due diligence on any properties they recommend to a client and are also backed by credible research on properties and the macroeconomy, where they track the trends in the Real Estate industry, in order to correctly inform clients on timing and pricing.
