Leading integrated financial services provider, HNB FINANCE PLC, recently entered into a significant collaboration with the Asian International Academy (AIA), a renowned institution for education and higher learning. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signifies a shared commitment to enhancing the professional expertise of HNB FINANCE’s staff in credit management, ultimately leading to a more efficient and customer-centric experience.

Under the first phase of this MoU with the AIA, branch managers across HNB FINANCE’s extensive branch network will have the opportunity to study diploma courses in credit management, and this opportunity will be extended to everyone from the management level to the sales development officers.

This initiative underscores HNB FINANCE’s dedication to fostering a workforce of highly skilled professionals, encompassing all levels from senior management to entry-level positions.

Commenting on the collaboration, HNB FINANCE Managing Director and CEO Chaminda Prabhath said: “As a trusted financial institution in Sri Lanka, we continuously strive to deliver services that are both convenient and efficient for our valued customers. This MoU with the Asian International Academy represents another crucial step in that direction. By empowering our entire team with recognised expertise in financial services, we aim to elevate the customer experience to even greater heights. We believe this investment will benefit not only HNB FINANCE’s future but also the professional journeys of all our employees undertaking these courses.”

The Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management (SLICM) will provide internationally recognised certificates to HNB FINANCE staff upon successful completion of the diploma programs led by AIA’s esteemed faculty.

AIA Group Managing Director Shanil Jayasekara also commented on the initiative, stating that: “We are delighted to partner with HNB FINANCE in offering diploma courses at the Asian International Academy. Our diploma and advanced diploma programs are designed to equip professionals across diverse fields with advanced knowledge. This collaboration presents a remarkable opportunity to cultivate a pool of highly qualified professionals for Sri Lanka’s financial sector. We are confident that this initiative will not only elevate the industry’s reputation but also serve as a testament to HNB FINANCE’s leadership in this endeavour. We express our sincere appreciation to HNB FINANCE for taking this pioneering step.”

This MoU signifies HNB FINANCE’s unwavering commitment to cultivating a workforce of exceptional individuals equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver unparalleled financial services to its customers.
