Cabinet of Ministers today approved the 22nd amendment to the constitution and to present it to the parliament.
Minister of Justice and constitution Affairs Wijedasa Rajapaksa presented this amendment to the cabinet seeking their approval. Now he is empowered by the cabinet to present the same to the parliament. SJB the main opposition has already presented a 21st amendment to the parliament.
