On the 10th of June, the world celebrates Global Wellness Day, an entirely not-for-profit day centred around the idea that ‘One day can change your whole life’. This Global Wellness Day, Street Burger – home of Sri Lanka’s original gourmet burger – launched ‘Move to Indulge’, in collaboration with The Physio and Fettle.
An invitee-only event, ‘Move to Indulge’ is a special Global Wellness Day initiative spearheaded by Street Burger, reminding people to get moving and sparking conversation around the importance of leading a balanced life. The initiative goes hand-in-hand with the core purpose of Global Wellness Day, a social awareness day that was first celebrated in 2012, that aims to ask the question – even if for just one day – ‘How can I live a healthier and better life?’
‘Move to Indulge’ celebrated more than the launch of a wellness movement; it was also Street Burger’s first time unveiling the newest item on their menu: the Crispy Lettuce Wrap Burger. Health-conscious customers can skip out on the carbs and order Lettuce Wrap variations of three of Street Burger’s most popular burgers: BBQ Piston (Beef), Crispy Chicken 1.0, and the Grilled Chicken Nitrous. These variations are available at Street Burger’s outlets as limited edition menu items, for a limited time period.
Keeping in line with the goal of wellness, Street Burger’s initiative involved collaboration with The Physio, a well-reputed private physiotherapy clinic in Colombo that has been in operation since 2014, and Fettle, a physical fitness centre and fitness programme that helps motivated individuals on their journey to wellness.
