SJBs’ new initiative: Bring people’s problems to parliament and solve them! (VIDEO)

Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, stated that the National People’s Council will be formed with the goal of bringing the people’s proposals to Parliament and making the best possible effort to mediate on their behalf.

Someone wins a general election or a presidential election and returns to the people once every five years; without that, there is no way to implement a systematic program to implement participatory democracy; as a result, there should be a correct exchange of ideas between the people and the ruler; otherwise, it is a wrong journey. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, stated today (26) that the ruler is on the right track.

The opposition leader stated that participatory governance should be implemented at all times rather than only during election season once every five years, and that this is what the struggling people want.

At a time when the 225 MPs accused of corruption during the 74-year rule were being investigated, it was decided to convert the opposition leader’s office into a people’s assembly representing all parties and nations, with Mr. Tissa Attanayake as convener and Mr. Mujibur Rahman as secretary. Every Monday at 2 p.m., this public assembly meets.

The opposition leader stated that it should set an example for the current government and that it should become a legal program, and that the proposals for the 220 lakh people will be implemented practically as an opposition program, with an optimal voice in the parliament .

The opposition leader stated that the opposition leader’s office is maintained with public funds and that two excellent projects are already underway. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, stated that anyone can come to any assembly and make proposals.
