Who will win the Twitter war between India and China battled inside Sri Lanka?

Politics is nothing but a cesspool that stinks of dirt’, popular TV drama actor Gayan Wickramathilaka remembers saying when he came to a discussion on ‘Mawrata’. Popular film actor and former Member of Parliament Ranjan Ramanayake said that “politics is an ugly deal made by a group of petty thieves’ when he got a microphone to speak once or twice. Some artists hang up even when asked questions about politics.

Not only artists. Many people strongly condemn the subject of politics. Strictly speaking, politics is a dead-end job only for those politicians who know that they can retire from their comfortable positions and get a pension of several digits with a row of zeros and stay at home.

Is politics really a stinking quagmire?

That’s probably the case overall. It goes without saying that politics is a high-level job with a noble character born from a social mission, if you work in a good manner regardless of the advantages of the lower ranks or by providing the necessary relief to the people who sent you to the parliament.

On the other hand, no matter how it is done, politics can sometimes be likened to a volcano that is about to explode at any moment. This is because there is no shortage of various arguments, quarrels and resentments. It is more dangerous that the verbal attacks are not limited to a single parliament and lead to situations where one country collides with another country. It is highly Risky.

A dangerous conflict is raging these days at the root of Sri Lankan politics. That flare-up is by no means trivial. The reason for that is that there are two states in the middle of the fight, which are in a higher place in terms of length, width and height.

If we name the countries, it is China and India. If taken as individuals, Chinese Ambassador Ki Sheng Hong and Indian High Commissioner Gopal Bagle have started the cold war by sitting on both sides in the middle of the debate and starting the Sri Lankan politics. Argument is also not trivial. It’s a ‘Twitter’ debate that isn’t limited to word of mouth blowing in the wind. The debate started from the Indian High Commission to be released to the world. The cause of the collision is a ship’s derailment. The name given to the ship is known as ‘Yuan Wang 5’.

To put the incident simply, the ship, which came on a scientific research trip as the ambassador for the Chinese government, had received all the official permission from the government including President Ranil Wickremesinghe to come to Sri Lanka. But when the Yuan Wang 5 ship was about to reach the port, the Sri Lankan government suddenly changed its decision, so the Chinese ship had to spend 5 days in the middle of the sea. Does the Chinese government have a grudge against it?

What if it’s a grudge? The Chinese government is very disappointed and angry with the Sri Lankan government because the ship was in the middle of the sea for five days. On the other hand, will they take it for granted that such a sudden barrier was put in the middle of an important deal with a powerful government like the Chinese government? Chinese Ambassador ‘Ki Shen Hong’ went to the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa to express his distress. Along with Sajith, several members of the opposition had also participated in that discourse.

It was not a good thing that happened. This is a shame for the Chinese government and the friendly dealings made with them…’ Ki Shen Hong said to Sajith and other opposition members.

How was the Indian government involved in this deal?

Like the Chinese government, the Chinese ambassador also thinks that the Sri Lankan government put up this emergency barrier due to India’s intervention. Because of that fact, Kei Shen Hong blamed India . Meanwhile, he also presented evidence that India was jointly responsible for the incident in which the Chinese ship was stopped in the middle of the sea in a way that hurt the Indian ambassador. The strongest factor in that evidence was the fact that the Chinese ship stopped in the middle of the sea was observed by 3 Indian satellites.

Who is this? According to the theory of ‘What are you doing…?’, it is said that the satellite surveillance has been used to investigate the general operation of the ship and other vessels, and that the signal system of the ship has been interfered with during the satellite surveillance.

Has the Chinese ambassador made that heavy statement with full responsibility?

Yes. Chinese Ambassador Hong claims that he declared everything very responsibly.

However, India’s High Commissioner Gopal Bagle was pressed. Bagle’s chosen method to give the Chinese ambassador a game was the electronic media. It is sharp. Highly flammable. Therefore, this clever High Commissioner started the Twitter war very sharply in front of his Chinese opponent. It is also recorded in the official websites that the Indian High Commissioner has released his series of tweets with sharp criticisms regarding the statements made by the Chinese ambassador in violation of the basic diplomatic rules if written using legal words.

The comments posted by the Chinese ambassador have always been brought to our attention. Violation of basic diplomatic ethics is his personal characteristic? Or does it reflect a general national attitude…?’

It was the first Twitter release received by the Chinese ambassador through the Indian High Commission.

The views expressed by the Chinese ambassador about Sri Lanka’s neighbor may have been shaped by the environment of his country. But we as Indians assure that India is a completely different state…’

It was the second attack of Bagley’s fury. The Indian High Commission led by Bagle kept trying to tell the Chinese ambassador not enough by lining up different tweets.

Because of the political context that the ambassador said that the ship had come for scientific research, it was revealed to the world that their plan and the purpose of the trip was different…’

‘What Sri Lanka needs now is the hand of support and friendship, not unnecessary pressures or unnecessary disputes that serve the agendas of another state…”

In a few hard slaps, Bagle has directed his anger at the Chinese rival who has suddenly appeared through those twitter messages.

Mr. Kei Shen Hong was hurt by those Twitter slaps…?

He almost felt the attack. The main proof of that is that he used his time very carefully while booking the date and time to meet the Reverand Mahanayake, waiting for a time when the High Commissioner of India would not come. In the end, Hong went alone on the journey that the two ambassador friends were supposed to take together. Indian High Commissioner Gopal Bagle also postponed his trip knowing the day of Hong’s arrival.

two good friends had a Twitter war…’
Is that the end of the story?

No. There are a few more things to say. Unofficial sources through the Indian High Commission say that the Chinese ship came for scientific research, but it has other ulterior motives.
It has been reported through unofficial sources that the Chinese ambassador is also concerned that the Indian High Commission and Gopal Bagle were so angry about the rumor of the ship and declared a fierce Twitter war for other reasons

Among all that, there is a news that the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Stalin, who is the son of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Karunanidhi, is very worried about the mission of taking over the island of Kachchathiv through this incident.

Many good things happens in the dawn So what else to do but wait…?
