Former UNP Member of Parliament Mr. Sandith Samarasinghe was appointed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Sri Lankan Consul General in Melbourne, Australia.
Mr. Sandith Samarasinghe assumed office yesterday (12) at the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Melbourne.
Sandith Samarasinghe represented the United National Party (UNP) and served as a Member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka after being elected from Kegalle District in 2015.
He was defeated in the 2019 general election.
