Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Prasanna Alwis stated in the open court that if State Minister Diana Gamage has committed an offense under the Immigration and Emigration Act, there is no need for a warrant to arrest her and bring her to court.
The magistrate said this after considering the facts presented today (09) when the complaint filed requesting an investigation into the birth certificate, national identity card and passports of Mrs. Diana Gamage was called.
When the complaint was called today, the Criminal Investigation Department submitted a report to the court showing the progress of the investigations.
