The Singapore Free Trade Agreement, which the joint opposition strongly opposed, will be revived!

President Ranil Wickremesinghe instructed the relevant officials to implement the Singapore-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement in a very short time.

The President gave these instructions during the discussion held at the President’s Office on the implementation of the Singapore-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement.

The existing problems in this regard were discussed at length and the President emphasized the need to provide quick solutions to all the existing problems.

President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake, President’s Senior Economic Adviser Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga, Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam, Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, and Food Security S.T. Kodikara, Messrs. Yana, and Heads of Line Departments were present in this discussion.
