The principal of a school in Millaniya area, the Millaniya police inspector and the police sergeant have been released on bail.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Mr. Keminda Perera ordered that the suspects be released on bail by fixing two personal bails of 10 lakh rupees each.
The related case was ordered to be called again on January 18.

A teacher of the concerned school and the driver of the Millaniya police who were arrested in connection with the incident had earlier been released on bail.
Recently, the principal of the school and two police officers were arrested and remanded in connection with the incident of assaulting and injuring several students in a school in Millaniya, Bandaragama.
It is related to the allegation that several students in class 05 were brutally beaten and brutalized for allegedly stealing a teacher’s purse.
