The Human Rights Commission steps in during the A’level exam period power outage! Sends a letter to the Minister-Commission Chairman!

The Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission has written to the Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy and the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission to order the Ceylon Electricity Board not to cut electricity in any way between January 23 and February 17, when the GCE Advanced Level Examination will be held.

In the letter, the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission requests that the education rights of the high school students be protected without power cuts.
