The Constituent Assembly convenes in Parliament! Decides all 10 members be appointed before the assembly is legal!

It was agreed in Parliament today to act on the prior resolution that the constituent council will not function until all members are selected.

The Speaker initially discussed the three civil organisation representatives to be nominated.

The government representatives said civic organisation representatives should be nominated promptly or they would proceed with the existing members.

The Constituent Assembly should not operate until all 10 members are appointed.

The opposition leader suggests appointing the minor party delegate first to appointing the three civic organisation representatives.

Minority parties in the North and South have nominated Mr. Siddharthan and Udaya Gammanpila, respectively.

It’s still unresolved.

Thus, the representative should be chosen first.

After that discussion, the meeting ends without a date for the next meeting.
