The Cabinet has approved the payment of 10 million rupees compensation for the murdered Member of Parliament Mr. Amarakirthi Athukorala.
Speaking at the Parliament today (21), Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena stated this.
On May 9th, Member of Parliament Mr. Amarakirthi Athukorala and his security officer were attacked and killed in Nittambu.
The Prime Minister said that compensation will also be paid for the slain security officer.
