The court issued summonses to Assistant Superintendent of Police Naleen Dilruk and Senior Superintendent of Police Roshan Dias today (21) for their appearance in court on the 8th.
A private lawsuit filed by Tharindu Jayawardene of the Young Journalist Association was called before Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage, and the two concerned police officials were designated as defendants.
The plaintiff, Tharindu Jayawardena, was represented by President’s Counsel Saliya Peiris, Attorney Manujaya De Silva, and Attorney Jayantha Dehiatta.
