Sri Lankan MPs addresses removed from Parliament website

Official website of Parliament of Sri Lanka has taken measured to remove all residential details of Members of Parliament of Sri Lanka.

A parliament spokesperson informed these steps were taken to protect the members of Parliament in consideration of the current situation of the country.

According to the Parliament website, the addresses and telephone details of all Members of Parliament currently representing the Parliament have been removed.

Previously, the official website of the Parliament had included the landline and mobile phone numbers, as well as addresses of all 225 Members representing the current Parliament.

The properties of several MPs and politicians were attacked and set on fire during the unrest that occurred on 09th May.
