There has been a serious discussion in the aviation industry regarding the non-use of SriLankan Airlines, the national airline of Sri Lanka, for the President’s visit to Japan this year.
Most notable here is that the President has engaged in several foreign trips before, but never used Srilankan Airlines.
This time, the President first went to Singapore and then to Japan, and on both occasions, the President used a plane belonging to Singapore Airlines and a plane belonging to Japan Airlines. But it is special that there are direct flights of SriLankan Airlines to both these countries.
Also, the President is scheduled to return to Singapore from Narita Airport on a plane belonging to Japan Airlines after completing his visit to Japan. After that, the President will return to the island from Singapore in a plane belonging to Singapore Airlines.
Accordingly, it has been learned that many people in the field are very curious as to whether SriLankan Airlines was not used in any of the foreign trips made by the President after assuming office because of a problem with the aircraft, a problem with the reliability of the airline, or for some other reason.
