Special operations are scheduled to start today (27) to suppress the underworld activities.
This is to curb the escalation of criminal activities throughout the country including murders in the last few days.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the Minister of Public Security, Mr. Tiran Alas, and the Western and Southern Senior Deputy Inspector Generals of Police, the Terrorist Investigation Unit, the Criminal Investigation Department, the Police Special Task Force, the Police Criminal Investigation Division and other investigative departments have joined for the relevant discussion.
