A court order was issued by Colombo magistrate Thilina Gamage prohibiting the inter-university student union from participating in the demonstration scheduled for this afternoon (7).
According to the order, from 11 am to 10 pm, protesters are not permitted in and around the presidential palace, the presidential secretariat, the finance ministry, and Galle Face Green.
Additionally, protesters in Colombo were asked not to block any specific roads during these times.
The convenor of the IUSF, Mr. Wasantha Mudalige, and 16 other people are subject to this order.
