Murder tally over 30 in last three months : western province 18, and southern province 12

In the last three months, all 30 underworld murders have occurred in the Western and Southern provinces.

Only 12 of those murders occurred in the Southern Province, while 18 occurred in the Western Province.

Except for one murder, all of the murders that have occurred in the Southern Province have occurred in the Galle district. 06. There have also been murders in the Ambalangoda police domain.

The remaining killings were divided among the police domains of Uragasmanhandiya, Ahangama, and Rathgama.

The remaining murders in the southern province occurred in the Hambantota district. So far, the shooter in the Tangalle Moraketi area murder has also been apprehended. Aside from that, the police solved one murder in Ambalangoda by arresting the killers and presenting them to the court with the firearm.

As a result, the police have been unable to apprehend the perpetrators in ten of the twelve murders that have occurred in the southern province.

Almost half of the 18 murders committed in the Western Province have occurred in the Colombo district. The suspect in the Bastian Mawatha shooting on May 30 was shot dead by police in Bemmulla, Gampaha. Aside from that, none of the perpetrators of these underworld shootings in the Western Province have been apprehended.

The remaining nine murders in the Western Province have been reported as 07 murders in the Gampaha district and 02 murders in the Kalutara district.

The only district where no underworld killings occurred during this wave of killings in these two provinces was Matara.
