Millionaire businessman SHADES owner’s death a murder! A Woman involved! Credit cards stolen: Air tickets purchased to Indonesia, heavy purchase in duty free, fled the country!

The body of millionaire businessman Mr. Roshan Wanninayake, the owner of the SHADES ready-made clothing chain, who had been missing for three days, was found in his Pelawatta MDH Pura house. It was found yesterday (2) evening while floating in the swimming pool on the third floor of a large house in MDHPura.

The body was found naked and swollen beyond recognition. There are also many blood stains near the swimming pool, so police believe this may be a homicide. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the businessman was killed by a blow to the head and the naked bodies were dragged to the swimming pool.

A senior police officer said that the businessman’s underwear as well as several other clothes was found near the swimming pool, and it is suspected that he was naked when he died. The officer also said that there were two contraceptive coverings at the same place where the swimming pool was located, and it appears that one of the contraceptive sheaths had been used.

This businessman is a 50-year-old unmarried person. He has been residing at ‘Mayara’ house in Kittampahuwa, Wellampitiya. Investigations have revealed that the house where his body was found is under renovation and he has not moved there yet.

This millionaire businessman has been missing since 30th evening. This businessman left his home in Wellampitiya around 5.30 in the evening in his car number KE 9998. Police information revealed that the businessman’s younger sister made several phone calls to him at around 7.00 pm, and he did not respond to them. It is said that she made that call regarding the preparation of dinner. Later, at around 7.29 pm, he called his younger sister and asked why she called him, police said.

After that call, even her brother’s mobile phone remained inactive and younger sister has filed a complaint with the Wellampitiya Police the day before (1), stating that he is missing. Meanwhile, police information disclosed that due to some suspicion, younger sister and other family members went to the house in Pelawatte and saw the dead body during the inspection yesterday and reported it to the police.

The police have also revealed that 4 credit cards in the businessman’s wallet were missing after his murder. After the disappearance of the businessman, it has been found that 5 air tickets were booked using the same credit card. After receiving the complaint about the businessman’s disappearance, the Wellampitiya police conducted a preliminary investigation and found that 2 air tickets to the United Kingdom had been booked. But after the murder of this businessman, it has been revealed that 5 air tickets have been booked to go to Indonesia. Also, after the murder of the businessman, it has been found in the investigations that purchases of goods worth Rs.5 lakhs from a duty free shop at BIA using one credit card.

The investigators have found that a woman was involved in the murder of this businessman. Police investigators suspect that he was killed by a group of people with the woman’s support while he was in the house in Pelawatte.

As security cameras were not installed in the house where the murder took place, the police launched an operation yesterday to identify the woman and the killer by analyzing the security camera footage of the nearby houses and buildings as well as the businessman’s mobile phone.

Although the businessman’s body was found, the businessman’s car was not found until yesterday evening. The police suspect that the killers of the businessman have fled the country by now.
