Mahinda Rajapakse’s overseas travel restrictions have been lifted

Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa was no longer prohibited from travelling abroad between April 20 and April 30, according to fort magistrate Thilina Gamage.

Mahinda Rajapaksa’s legal team requested that his travel ban be lifted because their client needed to travel to South Korea for a conference. In light of this request, the magistrate rendered his decision.

Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse was subject to a travel ban because of an incident that occurred at the height of the Galle Face aragalaya incident.
