The Buddhasasana Task Force sends a letter to President Ranil Wickramasinghe to hold the local government election without delay for the stability of the country and diplomacy.
It is also stated in the article that the government’s argument that the election is not held due to lack of funds is not acceptable, as it is illegal and unconstitutional not to hold a vote.
It is also mentioned in the letter that by limiting the number of ministerial positions to 15, stop the state festivals, stop the import of luxury goods and stop the non-essential expenses of the ministries and provide the necessary money for the elections.
