An amount of 37 crore rupees has been estimated for the 75th Independence Day which is planned to be held on February 4.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has estimated this cost and the Treasury has informed to immediately reduce this cost as much as possible.
The Treasury has informed that the economy cannot afford such a large expenditure based on the current economic situation.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has also informed us to reduce the cost of Independence Day celebrations as much as possible.
