The Hikkaduwa Tourist Police said that the police lifeguards rescued a foreign tourist couple and their two-and-a-half-year-old child who fell into the sea while enjoying a canoe-type vessel in the Hikkaduwa sea.

Seeing that these foreign tourists were in danger, the police lifeguards immediately jumped into the sea, swam for a distance of four hundred meters and saved the lives of the British foreign tourists who were in danger, the police officers told us.
