I’m unable to stay due to the noise in the house on Bauddaloka Mawatha! Mahinda’s former residence was not given! In the worst-case scenario, Gota  return to Mirihan’s house and settle down! EXCLUSIVE

Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who fled the country and returned to Sri Lanka due to the struggle since his presidency, was given a large official house built facing the main road of Colombo’s Bauddaloka Mawatha for accommodation. That was based on the reports given by the security forces at that time that the security situation of Gota’s private home in Mirihane was insufficient. Accordingly, Gota lived in this house located on Bauddaloka Mawatha from the day he came to Sri Lanka.

But after a few days, living in this house Gota could not bear the constant sound of vehicles and their horn sounds. Gota, who loved to live a quiet life, could see how it had turned into a great nusence after a few days. Because of that, Gota had taken steps to notify the officials to provide another official residence instead of this official residence on many occasions.

Apart from this, Gota’s idea was that since the renovation of the official house in Wijerama Mawatha, where former President Mahinda resided, had been completed, after Mahinda moved there, he would move to the official house in Bullers Road, where he stayed until then. But due to various reasons, Gota did not get to see that official residence. Under that situation, Gota took a decision last week. That is to move to his familiar home, Mirihane House. Accordingly, Gota is currently residing in his private home in Mirihane, which is located in a quiet and serene environment.
