IGP warns leasing and finance companies against forcibly obtaining vehicles: use legal means!

According to a new circular issued by the Inspector General of Police, if the owner of the vehicle objects to leasing and finance companies acquiring the vehicle, the companies should file a case in District Court and take legal steps to acquire the vehicle.

The circular also states that the police should take legal action in cases of carjacking, theft, and other offences.

It also states that it has been reported that certain police stations reject complaints made by owners about leasing or financial companies acquiring vehicles or equipment, and that such complaints should be accepted in the future, with proper investigation and legal action taken.
