Four Malaysian companies have decided to withdraw from the Colombo stock exchange.

4 listed companies in the Colombo Stock Exchange, SHALIMAR (MALAY) PLC, SELINSING PLC, GOOD HOPE PLC and INDO MALAY PLC, have decided to withdraw from the stock market. These companies belong to the Carsons Group, one of the leading companies in Sri Lanka.

These decisions have been taken in the board meetings of these four companies today (17).

Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd is the major shareholder of all these four companies. There,

SHALIMAR (MALAY) PLC – 83.20%,

SELINSING PLC – 95.68%,

GOOD HOPE PLC – 90.91%,

INDO MALAY PLC – 87.14%,

Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd is the majority shareholder of the four companies.

Accordingly, Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd has planned to buy all the shares owned by its minority shareholders at the time these companies leave the stock market.

These four companies are involved in the palm oil industry and their plantations are located in Malaysia.
