Easter attack : despite Ranil’s July pledged no UK assistance is asked yet!

Although it has been a month since the then Prime Minister/Acting President and current President Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe announced that the investigation into the Easter Sunday terror attack is expected to be completed with the assistance of the UK police authorities,

It is reported that the Government of Sri Lanka has not yet requested such assistance from the UK police authorities. Although an official request would have to be made to the UK police authorities if the government were to seek assistance in carrying out the relevant investigations,

It is understood that no request has yet been made by the main agencies responsible and accountable for making such a request, the Office of the President’s Secretariat, the Ministry of Defence, or the Ministry of Public Safety.
