Tissamaharama Magistrate Tharindu Sameera Silva today ordered the Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) to conduct an immediate investigation into the recent incident in which a group harassed and abused animals at Yala National Park, and also ordered the suspects to be arrested and brought before the court.
The DWC was also directed to review CCTV footage of the incident, which shows the car licence plates, and to seek a report from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
