A shooting attempt at Gota’s home! A bullet has been missing!

According to the Mirihana headquarters police, a police constable who was on security duty with the sergeant was arrested for allegedly attempting to shoot a police sergeant with a T56 automatic firearm at former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s residence in the Mirihana area.


The suspect was arrested, and the firearm issued to him for duty was also taken into police custody.
Thirty live bullets were issued to the suspect constable along with the firearm, one of which was missing, and police are investigating what happened to that bullet.
